The Public International Business College Mitrovica (IBCM) hosted Green Week 2025, a week-long environmental awareness and action celebration, from 21 April until 26 April 2025. This year, the event took on special significance, as several IBCM alumni joined the activities with our current students, proving their commitment to the institution where they grew mentally, learned, and developed skills that continue to guide them today.

One of the elements of Green Week was the promotion of the Erasmus+ AL4LIFE project, which promotes lifelong learning and alumni post-involvement in life and work of their home institution Several IBCM graduates have joined the project staff and students, bringing enthusiasm, and practical experience to the current students, sharing their stories after IBCM graduation.

This year's Green Week was a chance for students to get involved with sustainability and hear first-hand from graduates who have turned environmental ideas into reality.

In lectures and workshops, the alumni shared their insights on green entrepreneurship (some are already employed in organic food and herb production), policy making (some work with the central government and local governments), and everyday sustainability applications. The IBCM alumni shared personal experiences of being employed in projects focused on sustainability, inspiring IBCM students to see beyond school and work towards meaningful, long-term impacts.

The Erasmus+ AL4LIFE project is about lifelong learning, and this goes hand in hand with IBCM's objective of developing graduates who are a force of change. Their participation demonstrates the power of the IBCM community. It illustrates how alumni continue to engage with the college, return as mentors, and contribute to projects beneficial to society.

IBCM Green Week 2025 was more than just an event; it illustrated how the college is promoting the development of sustainability leaders. IBCM alums took the lead, emphasising the necessity of education, partnership, and remaining involved to achieve impact.
